Cindy Schultz
Office Manager & Bookkeeper
Cindy grew up in Roberts, Wisconsin and graduated from St. Croix Central High School (SCC). During high school, she sang with the Wisconsin State FFA choir for two years. She has worked at Mills Fleet Farm, The Country Store, and First Federal Savings Bank before coming to work for the O’Connells in 1998.
While working at the bank, Cindy opened funeral trust accounts for the O’Connell Family Funeral Home. One day, Tom called to ask if she would be interested in doing the bookkeeping for the funeral home. When she first started, she came in jeans and sweatshirt, paid the bills, balanced the checkbook, and went home. Over the years, Cindy took on new responsibilities and started working regular hours. Now, her duties include filing death certificates and permits, answering phones, processing insurance claims, maintaining human resource matters, and bookkeeping tasks. She enjoys helping people. Says Cindy, “I am lucky to have a job where I look forward to going to work. This job is never boring. The staff at the funeral home is my second family.”
Cindy was the Cheerleading Coach at SCC for three years. She is currently a Roberts Ribbon Reapers 4-H leader for; the horse project, cat project, and community service. She is a member of the St. Croix Riders Saddle Club and a member of the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ. Throughout the year, Cindy can be found playing the drums with the SCC Alumni Community “Bifocal Band.” She loves fishing and waterskiing at the lake and cheering for St. Croix Central Sports teams. She is a BIG fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and, with her husband being a Packer fan, the football season is always interesting at their house!!

In her spare time, Cindy likes to garden, bake, and listen to county music. Occasionally she can be seen driving a tractor, bailing hay, or playing softball.
Cindy and her husband, Joel, live in the Hammond area on their family farm and have four daughters, Ali, Hannah, Beth, and Hailey.
Her favorite color is purple. She has three spoiled house cats and is a certified judge for 4-H Cat Shows.
