Gordon William Gilbert, (otherwise known as GoGo by his mother) age 31 of North Hudson, died unexpectedly March 12th, 2018. “Gordy” was born on September 26, 1986 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the son of Chet and Jeanne (Rouleau) Gilbert. He attended school in Hudson graduating from high school in 2005. He would further his education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Rasmussen Business College receiving a degree in computer technology. He enjoyed his time working for his mom at Benefit Resources Inc in their computer software department.

Gordy was a prankster at heart. He took great pleasure in making others feel good and to see them laugh. He was a master with computers, was fond of reading anything he could get his hands on, and enjoyed time spent playing video games and the Magic card game. He appreciated good friends and was always there to provide a hand, literally, or with a shoulder to lean on. Furthermore, he enjoyed animals and was always game to take a ride with the top down with his dad!

Gordy is survived by his dad Chet; grandmother, Lois Rouleau; aunts/uncles: Cathy Chavez, Bill Rouleau, Teresa (Steve) Haugen, Fran (Richard) Jacobs, Nick Rouleau, John (Jani) Rouleau, Jim (Kerry) Rouleau, Tim Rouleau; Shelly (Ron) Fuller; many cousins and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jeanne; grandparents William Rouleau, Forest and Jane (Sveen) Gilbert; uncles, Richard Rouleau, Benjamin Chavez, and Richard Gilbert.

A Visitation will take place from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home led by Kathleen Helgeson. Interment will be in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson at a later date.
