Rosemary Barber, age 79, of Hudson passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul following a brief illness.  Rosie was born July 23, 1939 in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Albert and Lillian Bieneman. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1957 and would be married to her high school sweetheart Edward Barber at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in 1959. Together they had four children; Brenda, Thomas, Daniel, and Debora. Rosie loved playing bridge, as she belonged to three clubs. She enjoyed watching the Vikings on a Sunday afternoon, bowling with her gal friends, or quilting a blanket for family.  She was an active member of St. Pats previously singing in the choir and serving on church council. She tried to watch every game of Jeopardy and enjoyed making spaghetti sauce for Pepper Fest. Rosie and Ed cherished their children and grandchildren, making every game or event they could.

Rosie will remain in the hearts of her husband Ed; children Brenda (William) Mann of Delano, Thomas Barber of Las Vegas, Daniel Barber of Hudson, and Debora Barber of Chattanooga;  nine grandchildren Julie (David) Archuletta, David Mann, Louisa Mann, Joseph Mann, Veronica Barber, Madeline Barber, John Barber, Joshua Barber, Katie Barber and her great-grandchild Gavin Archuletta; siblings Marilyn (George) Kubalak of Green Bay, Diane (Roy) Cook of Danbury and Beverly Asmus of Stillwater. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Burdell (Donovan) McGinley and brothers-in-law Donovan McGinley and Larry Asmus.

A Visitation for Rosie will be Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the O'Connell Funeral Home in Hudson and a Mass of Christian will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with a one hour visitation prior. Memorials preferred to the discretion of the family.
