Thomas Lloyd Clark of Hudson passed away peacefully February 1, 2019, the oldest child born of John H. and Nellian W. (Jorgenson) Clark on August 14, 1941. He attended Hudson schools and graduated in 1960, spent four years in the Navy and united in marriage to Gloria Jean Miller on September 17, 1966.  Together they had two children.

Tom was a devoted employee for the Hudson Star Observer for forty plus years. He enjoyed singing and sang in the St. Patrick’s Church choir for forty seven years.  After his wife passed away in 2010 Tom loved to spend time with his grandkids, Maddie and Isaac. In his earlier years he was an avid bicyclist and over the past several years has been a member of the YMCA and took delight in the spinning classes and Silver Sneakers Club.  

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Gloria J. Clark; brother, John H. Clark; parents, John H. and Nellian W Clark.

He survived by his son, John T. (Jennifer) Clark, daughter, Joanna (Dan) Anderson; two grandchildren Maddie and Isaac Anderson; six siblings Bonnie (Richard) Swanson, Larry (Debbie) Clark, Kay (Monte) Lewis, Loretta Petersen, Sheila (John) Hinz, Nancy (John) Hubbard; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7that St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Hudson YMCA.

  1. My deepest sympathies to Tom’s family. We were classmates and graduated together with the class of 1960 and would see each other frequently at the classmates coffee in Hudson. i’m sure he will be missed.
