Alice Glyzinski, age 86, of Hammond, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Baldwin Care Center.  Alice was born on October 25, 1926 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin; the daughter of Adolph and Hilda (Hetland) Drogseth. She attended Roaring Creek Elementary School prior to graduating from Black River Falls High School. On July 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Stanley Glyzinski at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls. This union would be further blessed with five children. Alice was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and faith. She enjoyed baking bread or Kringle. She was also known to her friends and neighbors to give them Krum Kaka, at Christmas time.  Canning whatever Stan picked from his garden. She was a gifted seamstress as many mothers were, and also crocheted afghans for her grandchildren. Alice was loving and caring to her children; yet stern when it came to values and faith.

Alice is survived by her children Rodney (Corine), Sue (Bob) Trudell, Becky (Ron Hanson) Demulling, Tony (Connie) Glyzinski, Kim (Chuck) Kitchner, nine grandchildren, four step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and three specials nieces Cheryl, Candice, and Barb. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Harriet Meier, and her husband Stan.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Alice’s life will be held at 11am on Friday, September 6, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hammond, Wisconsin.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.  Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to services at the church as well as from 4-7pm on Thursday, September 5 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, Baldwin chapel.  Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home.
