Alice Faye Rose Mercord

Alice Faye Rose Mercord, 'Alice' age 86, of Prescott, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on her Savior's birthday, December 25, 2025, at her home.

Alice was born on December 31, 1938, in Red Wing, Minnesota, to Raymond and Leona (Kemmerer) Armbruster. She attended Alleho Elementary School before graduating from Prescott High School with the Class of 1956. It was there that she found the love of her life, Robert Mercord.

Alice and Bob were united in Holy Matrimony at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prescott on April 23, 1960. From this union, they were blessed with five children: Tracy (Joe) Franek, Andrea (Todd) Kullmann, Michele (Duword) Kurrelmeyer, Bob (Sheryl) Mercord, and Jason Mercord (Sara Schoenrock).

Their children further blessed them with grandchildren: Valerie, Joey (Cassandra), and Zachary; Jordan (Kristi), Brianna (Michael), Alyse (Tyler), and Noah (Greta); Kaitlyn (Andrew), Kyle (Mikayla), and Kali (Jack); Justine (Andy) and Bryce (Ana); Carson (Kelsey), Corbyn, Chancelor and Justin. As the family continued to grow, Alice and Bob were blessed with great-grandchildren: Londyn, Jo Jo, Parker, Austyn, Lawson, Wilson, Piper, Theodore, Clare, Paige, June, Finnegan, Haven, Kollyns, Palmer, Millie, Hendrix, Cyrus, Leo, and Lucas.

If you had the privilege of knowing Alice, you knew there were three things that formed the foundation of her life: faith, family and friends. Her faith inspired her to visit Medjugorje and the Holy Lands. She truly was a devout ambassador of Christ and she will be missed beyond words.

Alice's love for family extended beyond the living, never forgetting those who had gone before her.

When you entered her home, you were greeted not only by her warm smile but by walls filled with family photographs, as she was immensely proud of each and every one of them.

Alice is survived by her sister, Rena Hayes and family members Joan (Jim) Baker, Fred (Sharon) Mercord, Kay (Doug) Reinhardt, Carol Mercord and Bunny Mercord, along with a host of extended family and so many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob; her grandson, Seth; and family members John Mercord, Ron Mercord, Murt Mercord, Dick Mercord, Bud Hayes and niece Angie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service concluding at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Friday, January 9th a rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., followed by visitation at 10:00 a.m., at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice will follow at 11:00 a.m. The service will be livestreamed here: Alice Mercord's service. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
