Alice Irene Nagy, age 86, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1939, in River Falls, WI, to parents Charlie and Myrtle Ray.
Alice married Gary on February 7, 1959, in Red Wing, MN and together they raised their family of five children. Throughout her professional life, Alice played an essential role in her husband’s business, St. Croix Truck and Trailer, where she managed the office work. In her free time, Alice enjoyed taking time to care for and feed the local wildlife that visited her home and the occasional casino trip.
She is survived by her children Bob, Susan, Sally, and bonus daughter Jeanne; grandchildren and great grandchildren; Siblings Verna Truesdill, Audrey Denninger, Glen Ray, Jo Nagy; siblings-in-law Rita (Dave) Hanson, Bob Chowanec, Russ Hull.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gary; sons Rick and Donald; parents Charlie and Myrtle Ray; siblings Donald (Alice) Ray, Gwen (Gene) Kuslick; parents-in-law Steve and Marguerite Nagy; siblings-in-law Gordon Truesdill, Shirley Chowanec and Rose Hull.
Services will be held on a later date.
In lieu of memorials, she would love people to continue her tradition of feeding the birds this winter.
