Alison Oostendorp

Alison Marie Oostendorp, born March 4th, 1966, died November 29, 2024.

Alison, Alli-Oop, Al, Ali- and to some: Hootsie, was born to the wonderful town of River Falls, WI to her parents John Oostendorp and Liz (Kidd) Oostendorp. She was the youngest of four children, including William Oostendorp, Susan Oostendorp, and Colin Oostendorp (late). She spent her life surrounded by community, by friends, by family.

Alison had always been funny, thoughtful and warmhearted. She spent time from her youth, through her adulthood being an advocate, a mover and shaker, a social servant for those around her. She believed in doing what was right, and encouraging others to live the life they wanted to live. To have fun. She brought peace, understanding and compassion into this world.

Through it all, there is something we will all continue to carry with us of Alisons’: her nature of kindness, selflessness, humility and humor.

Her infectious laugh, and silly nature was contagious. She lived her life to the fullest and left this world without regret. She fully enjoyed life, may we honor her by doing the same.

There will be a memorial service in the late spring to early summer 2025. Announcements to follow, but the family would be honored to be surrounded by her friends and found family.
