Allen "Big Al" Albrecht

Allen Jon “Big Al” Albrecht, age 68, passed away at his home in Emerald, Wisconsin, on October 6, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1957, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and grew up in Emerald, where he remained a lifelong member of the community.

Al loved his family, his friends, his dogs, and the many people he met throughout his life. He had a very big heart and was loved by so many. Al was known for his quiet demeanor, quick wit, and “one-line” humor. He had a way of making friends with just about anyone he met.

Al worked for many years as a Service Technician for Aquamates, where he helped install, repair, and maintain inground swimming pools. Outside of work, he and his wife, Dee, enjoyed riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles, attending drag races, and making their annual trip to the Blues on the Chippewa concert in Durand. Al had a deep love of blues music, especially artists such as B.B. King, Rev. James, and The Alter Boys.

Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dee Albrecht; his brothers, James (Denise) Albrecht, and Charles Albrecht; along with many friends, neighbors, and others who were fortunate to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Norma Albrecht, and his sister, Bernice (Frank) Springer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at O'Connell Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI. from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
