Anne Lubich

Anne Isabelle Lubich, age 84 of Prescott, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence. Anne was born October 9, 1933 in Buckman MN to parents John Peter and Mamie Isabelle (Anderson) Theis. Anne attended school in Buckman, MN. She would be united in marriage to Emil Frank Lubich on September 11, 1954. Their union in marriage would be blessed with seven children.

Anne was a homemaker for many years, keeping a home, being a wife, and raising her children. As they grew, Anne then worked outside of the home. Her caring nature brought her to work in Home Health Care Industry. Anne was active in church life, loved road trips, and enjoyed traveling to destinations such as Europe, Greece, and Great Britain. She also loved casino trips, puzzle books and word searches. Anne especially loved grabbing lunch at McDonald’s! Above all, Anne loved her family. Whether baking cookies or birthday cakes for the grandkids, dyeing Easter eggs, or celebrating Christmas, Anne adored her family, and cherished her time spent with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anne is survived by her children, Kathleen Lubich of Prescott, Stephen Lubich of Minneapolis MN, Dan (Michelle) Lubich of Woodbury MN, Dave Lubich of Prescott, Maria Lubich of Lilydale MN, and Mark (Kathy) Lubich of Lakeland Shores MN; grandchildren, Jon (Veronica) Lubich, Adam (Jarod) Jokinen; Jacob Lubich, Jeremy (Jen) Lubich, and Ryan (Joanne) Lubich; great-grandchildren, Alissa, Theresa, Julia, Jocelyn, Jared, Johnna, and Justin; siblings, Ruth, Regina, Curt and Jim; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; her son, Raymond; her daughter-in-law, Martha; her granddaughter, Jennifer; and ten siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial for Anne Lubich will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 269 S. Dakota St. in Prescott, with Rev. Fr. George Szews officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at church, and also from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, January 21 at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 1339 Orrin Road in Prescott.
