Arlyss Yvonne Wilcoxson passed away unexpectedly on October 16th, 2019 at her home in Roberts, WI. Arlyss was born on October 10, 1946 to Clifford and Ruby (Metlie) Albrigtson in Baldwin, WI. She attended Baldwin-Woodville High School and the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She married Paul Wilcoxson on December 19, 1970.
Arlyss was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and teacher. She and Paul enjoyed many road trips over the years but mostly just enjoyed being together. She put her heart and soul into her family, especially her dear grandchildren. Arlyss always went out of her way to make sure she was making memories with her grandchildren, whether it was just involving them in everyday tasks or working on special projects with them. Her students at St. Croix Central were also a part of her family. She touched the lives of many over the years and continued to do so as a requested tutor. She had an incredibly kind heart and will be remembered for her love of reading, sewing, and crocheting.
Arlyss will be remembered fondly in the hearts of her husband of nearly 49 years, Paul, their children Michelle (Scott) Sendelbach and Gary (Kristen) Wilcoxson; their grandchildren Brady and Abigail Sendelbach and Eleanor and Caroline Wilcoxson; her sisters Jeanie (Alfred) Brodd and Kathleen Amacher; her brother Douglas (Andrea) Albrigtson; her sisters-in-law Vera Grant and Donna Wilcoxson; her brothers-in-law Neil Wilcoxson and Dennis Nelson; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Elizabeth Linehan, her sisters-in-law Mary Jo Wilcoxson and Faye Nelson and her brothers-in-law Clair Wilcoxson and Charlie Grant.
There will be a celebration of Arlyss’s life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Cross Lutheran Church in Roberts, WI starting at 1pm, with a gathering for friends and family starting two hours prior to service time.
