Arnold James Maynard Risberg

Arnold James Maynard (Arnie) Risberg passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015.
Arnold was born April 1, 1929 in Red Wing, MN to Arthur and Edna (Mattson) Risberg. He was baptized, confirmed and married at Cannon River Lutheran Church. Arnold was raised in the Cannon Falls area and he farmed in Cannon Falls, MN and Bay City, WI for many years.
Arnold was united in marriage to Esther Jakes on January 1, 1957. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Esther, son Allen (Nancy), son Ricky (Julie), daughter Julie Davis (Kevin), son John (Shawlly), grandchildren; Ryan (Beth) Risberg, Elena Krelberg, Melissa(Brent) Allen, Rhawnie (Troy) Closs, Noelle (Beau) Scilley, Tessa, Brieanna and Gillian Davis, Ethan and BingJing Risberg. Great grandchildren; Amber Marler, Addison Closs, Ashlynn and Aleyah Allen and Gabriella Risberg.
Arnold will be remembered for his humorous stories, love of family history and soft heart for stray animals. He enjoyed lutefisk and making lefse. Arnie enjoyed socializing with family, friends and anyone he met. He will be missed by many.
Visitation will be at Hill Funeral Home in Ellsworth, Wednesday, October 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 29, 2015, with visitation 1 hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Tabor Lutheran Church.
