Audrey B. Fritze

Audrey B. Fritze (née Christensen), age 90, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on October 13, 2015 at Christian Community Homes in Hudson, WI.

She was born April 23, 1925 to Rudolph and Hattie (Bredesen) Christensen. She attended Patrick Henry High School and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business before devoting herself to a long life as wife and mother.

Audrey married James Fritze in 1950. The couple made a home for themselves in Minneapolis, and enjoyed nearly 60 years as members of the congregation at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and by sister Vivian Christensen.

She is survived by sister Jacqueline Galant and by five daughters: Christine (Gerard) Payette; Jeanine (Kenneth) Miller; Linda (Steven) Fritze-Adorn; Sharon (fiancé Brian) Fritze; and Susan (Brad) Feely, and by nine grandchildren: Jessica (Michael) Payette, James Payette, Nathan (Tiffany) Miller, Daniel Miller, Joel Miller, Melissa (fiancé David) Adorn, Eric Feely, Maxwell Feely, and Zachary Schossow. She is survived by three great-grandchildren, Noah, Luke, and Graham Miller.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Christian Community Homes for their compassionate care of both Audrey and James.

Memorial Service 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3430 E. 51st St., Minneapolis, MN with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
