Audrey Alvira Pommerening (nee Oehlke) April 7, 1935 – February 2, 2019. Audrey was called home to our Father on February, 2, 2019. She was born in 1935 in her parent’s house on their dairy farm in Woodbury, MN.  She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Pommerening Sr., on Friday August 13, 1954. They were married 60 years.

They have six children Cindy, Robert Jr (Deb), Randy (Rochelle), Ron (Gail), Jane Pavek (Jim) and Ann Piela (Ron), 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Audrey adored children. She not only lovingly raised six of her own but took care of babies for Lutheran Brotherhood until they could be placed with a family. Audrey and Bob owned a small dairy farm in Cottage Grove. She loved her animals, her flower gardens, which were immense, decorating and rearranging the house. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. She will be deeply missed!

When her husband Bob passed away in 2014, Audrey moved to Park View Campus in Woodville, WI. She received wonderful care there and we are very thankful to their staff – so many became like family to mom. We would also like to thank Adoray Hospice for their short, but wonderful service to mom.

Her family is honoring Audrey’s wishes by having a private service.  Funeral services entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.

    • I am so sorry for your loss. Audrey was the best mother-in-law anyone could be blessed with. She was always kind, loving, understanding and thoughtful. Her smile, sense of humor and loving nature always lifted me up. Her family meant everything to her and she was a doting proud Grandmother. May your memories of her love sustain you in your time of sorrow.

      Sincerely,
      Jean Cassidy
