Austin Thomas Petersen

Austin Thomas Petersen died Feb. 14 in St. Paul, Minn., after a brief illness. He was 93.He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Vera Petersen, and two daughters: Sally Karioth (Gerald Ensley) of Tallahassee; and Christina Petersen (John Schlimgen), of St. Paul. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Amanda Karioth Thompson (Sam), of Tallahassee; and Andrew Austin-Petersen, of Austin, Tex. He was predeceased by a son Tom.Petersen, a World War II veteran, was the retired carpenter at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls . He will be buried in his native Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the River Falls American LegionCashman-Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, River Falls, WI is serving the family.
