Autumn Gayle Gannon

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Autumn Gayle Gannon, who left this world on July 17, 2026, just weeks shy of her 51st birthday. Autumn was born on July 29, 1975, in Lake City, MN, and spent her life in a manner that truly reflected her kind heart and vibrant spirit.

Autumn had battled triple negative breast cancer for two years before she passed from metastasizes. Her courage was inspiring through her battle from enduring multiple months of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation at the Mayo Clinic. She was so grateful for her oncology providers at the Mayo. She had a period of remission for approximately a year where she was able to enjoy life, travel, spend time with family and return to work.

Autumn was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and beloved daughter. Autumn’s strong work ethic and impressive accomplishments as the Director of Global Compliance at Ecolab were a source of pride not just for her, but also for those who had the privilege to work alongside her. Respected by her peers, she was known for her organizational skills and her willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, always believing in the potential of others.

 Autumn's journey took her from Lake City, to Ames, IA, to St. Paul, and ultimately to Hudson, WI, where she built a beautiful life in the countryside. Her home was a haven for family gatherings filled with laughter, love, and creativity. An alumna of Iowa State University, it was there that she met the love of her life, Shane. Together, they fostered a relationship built on support and shared dreams. 

Along with her family, Autumn found joy at Troy Beach and Willow River—places where she could connect with nature and recharge her spirit. A true "dance and ski mom," Autumn relished watching her children flourish in their athletic pursuits, cheering from the sidelines and creating lasting memories. Her artistic soul blossomed through her passions for painting, scrapbooking, and clothes shopping, leaving behind a colorful legacy of creativity. Unfortunately, Autumn’s passing was one month shy of her daughter Camille’s wedding, however back in April they were able to hold a backyard wedding here in Hudson that Autumn got to plan and attend. It was a beautiful moment and cherished by the whole family. 

Autumn's life may have been cut short, but her impact on those who knew her will be felt for years to come. She taught us the importance of compassion, hard work, and the beauty of giving everyone a chance. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Shane Gannon, daughter London Gannon, daughter Camille Gannon and her fiancé Stefano DelPiccolo, parents Gayle and Sue Leonhardt, Sister Amber (Derek) Nord, nieces Corynn and Taren Nord, mother in law Brenda Gannon, brother in law Josh (Shannon) Gannon, nephews Kade and Tristan Gannon. Preceded in death by her grandparents Allen and Grace Wegner, grandparents Alwin and Elsie Leonhardt, father-in-law, Mike Gannon, and brother-in-law Josiah Gannon. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday July 24th at 11:00 AM at Redeeming Grace Community Church in Lake City, Minnesota with a visitation prior starting at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to gather with us to celebrate Autumn’s life. Please honor her wishes for the attire dress code to be colorful and bright tones. A burial of her urn will take place at the Lake City Cemetery, nearby the church, following the service. Fellowship with food will be held back at Redeeming Grace Church thereafter.

Triple negative breast cancer is a very aggressive form of breast cancer that Autumn had, since it is more rare than other breast cancer subtypes and is historically harder to treat, triple negative breast cancer receives less funding for research for advancements in treatment. Supporting the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation helps fund critical research in this field, leading to future improved survival rates.

Autumn had been an animal lover her whole life. Her family adopted their beloved Tibetan Mastiff, Abbey, from Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue. She always felt strongly about all the amazing work Coco’s Heart has done for our community.
