With the heaviest of hearts, we wish to announce the passing of our Mom, Barbara Ann Roeglin, age 73, on February 21.
Our sweet Barbie was born on January 19, 1953 in Lodi, WI to Robert and Darlene Brisky. She graduated high school in 1971 and went on to Cosmetology school, likely in preparation for those Saturday morning home perms and haircuts she would bestow upon her three amazing daughters like it was some kind of honor to walk around with a bowl cut and Little Orphan Annie curls.
Barb started her life after college in Brillion, WI where she worked for The Endries company, and then later in Hudson, WI where she worked for 3M until her retirement in 2016. After almost 30 years with 3M, we still can’t really accurately describe what her job title was, other than she worked nights, loved the company store, seemed to have endless comp time, and brought home a lot of post-it notes!
Family was of utmost importance to her, and we were blessed with an awesome one! She was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Ralphie) and brother, Ron. She is survived by her mother Darlene, and brothers Gary (Cheri), Dan (Jill), Rick, Tom (Rita), John (Colleen) and sister Judy – and their families. She is also survived by her three daughters, Traci (Donavon), Renee (Dave) and Rebecca (Isaac) and her AWESOME grandkids Ryan, Alyssa, Eli, Ashley, Ayla, Olivia and Jax. She loved family gatherings and loved us girls even more, but oh how we took a backseat once she became a Grandma! Nothing made her happier than being with her Grandchildren. She could usually be found on a softball field, hockey rink, football field, track, attending plays and concerts by the dozen. We have an endless list of things that our Mom loved, but her grandchildren were a clear #1. Coming in second would be anything from hummingbirds, other family besides grandchildren (who are #1), white cake with buttercream frosting, free play at a casino, margaritas, Tom and Rita’s Labor day party and maple donuts (not in any particular order). She was loving and carefree and we will miss her contagious laugh so much. For the record, she also made the best cutout cookies, nut roll bars and cheese dip at Christmas!
We will be having a celebration of Barb’s life on April 4, 2026 from 10:30am – 1:30pm at Gunderson Funeral Home in Lodi, Wisconsin. There will be a brief memorial service at 1:00pm, followed by a private family burial.
To our Mom – You taught us that loving your family is the greatest gift, and you left us the greatest legacy of all – our love for each other! You did an amazing job, and now it’s time for you to finally rest. We love you immensely and will miss you more than you will ever know! We hope that there is a fountain of margaritas in heaven, along with an endless supply of maple donuts.
To everyone else reading this – If you ever find yourself in Red Wing, MN, stop in to Treasure Island Casino, grab a seat at a Double Lucky dollar machine, have a waitress bring you a regular margarita on the rocks and toast to Barb! Here’s hoping she sends you some luck!
We love you, Mom!
