Ellsworth

Barbara Lynn Simmon, age 75, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026.

Barbara was born to LeRoy George Weiland and Norma Pauline Weiland in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Growing up, she spent time in both Minnesota and California, creating cherished memories with family and making friends wherever life took her. Her warm personality and caring nature allowed her to connect with people easily, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

In 1977, Barbara was united in marriage to the love of her life, Stephen Rodger Simmon. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. During the early years of their marriage, Barb worked alongside her sister in a salon, helping others look and feel their best while forming countless friendships and memories. When her children were born, however, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her family.

Barb became a stay-at-home mother when her first son, Trent, was born, and her joy only grew with the arrival of her second son, Troy. Her children were the center of her world. She never missed an opportunity to support them, attending school events, activities, and sporting competitions throughout their lives. A dedicated parent, she became involved in the Parent Teacher Association and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. She especially enjoyed cheering on Trent and Troy at their basketball games and took great pride in watching Troy compete in golf.

Outside of her devotion to family, Barb enjoyed horseback riding and spending time on motorcycle rides, creating special memories on the open road with Troy. She found happiness in life's simple moments and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved.

Barbara will be remembered for her unwavering love, her selfless devotion to her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

She is survived by her son, Troy (Nikki) Simmon; her daughter, Debi (Gerald) Stanley; her sister Teri Moore; her nieces, Bridgett, Tammy, Joy, and Jennifer; her nephews, Chris and Anthony; along with many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Rodger Simmon; her son, Trent Simmon; and her parents, LeRoy and Norma Weiland.
