Beatrice Catherine Paul

Beatrice Catherine Paul, age 95, of River Falls, Wisconsin, formerly of St Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022 at home with her son, Rick, by her side.

On November 9, 1926, she was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Thomas and Josephine (Heiss) Kealy. She married Roland Paul at Church of Assumption. This union was blessed with their son, Richard. During Rick’s years playing hockey she was his biggest cheerleader. Watching him play was truly one of greatest joys and she never missed an opportunity to see him on the ice. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Her absolute favorite was, of course, the Minnesota Wild. Her love for hockey was lifelong and she cherished going to games with Rick.

When Rick was young, she and her family could be found spending weekends camping and fishing. Even though Beatrice could not swim, she treasured spending time on the water and was a member of the Northwest Anglers.

Beatrice will live on in the hearts of her son Rick Paul of River Falls; grandsons Ryan Paul and Justin Paul, both of Montana; sisters, Merle and Bev; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Josephine; husband, Roland; and siblings, Florence, May, Pearl and Richard.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:30am at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 225 South 3rd Street, River Falls, Wisconsin with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery following the service.
