Becky Hahn, age 76, of Boyceville, WI, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Becky Sue Mason was born on December 18, 1948, to Fred and Mary Mason. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Whitewater, WI, where she spent her childhood and teenage years helping on the farm, and being active in 4-H that included sewing, cooking, and baking. Most meaningful to her was showing Holsteins from the family's registered herd. Becky excelled in the show ring winning many county, state, and national awards. In 1967 she was chosen as the Wisconsin Holstein Association Outstanding Girl. This was an award she was very proud of.
After graduating from Whitewater High School in 1967, Becky moved north to attend Stout State University in Menomonie, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ned Hahn. Becky and Ned were married on July 8, 1972, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City. They purchased and moved to Ned's grandparents' home south of Clear Lake to start their life together. Before becoming a mother, Becky taught home economics in Taylors Falls, MN. After the birth of their first son, Kevin, she embraced the role of stay-at-home mom. Their second son, Casey, arrived three years later. While raising their family, Becky devoted herself to her home and community—volunteering at church, sewing, reading, scrapbooking, gardening and quilting. Going to quilting retreats with her friends was one of Becky's favorite past times. Over the years, Becky created dozens of beautiful quilts - many of which she gifted to her family and friends.
In 1989, Becky and Ned opened a small Amish quilt and craft store, Tomorrow’s Treasures. What started as a small venture grew into a successful and cherished business.
After 30 years in Clear Lake, Ned and Becky moved into their newly-built home in the beautiful Corkscrew Hills north of Boyceville in 2002, which remained Becky’s home for the rest of her life. It was in this home that Becky often cared for her five grandchildren. Spending time with them was one of her favorite things, whether she was serving them a meal, taking them for rides on the side-by-side, or watching them at school or sports activities, it always made her smile.
Even after her cancer diagnosis in November 2023, Becky continued to live life to the fullest—spending time with loved ones, going on vacations with Ned, and fighting hard to live more of her life.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Mason.
