Bernice Davitt

Bernice L. (Martin) Davitt, age 85, formerly of Baldwin, passed away April 21, 2013 at Walker Methodist Health Care Center in Minneapolis, MN. Bernice was born December 4, 1927. Proud University of Minnesota grad, Minneapolis Public School Teacher from 1962-1987, union and political activist.

Preceded in death by husband, Bill Davitt. Survived by her children, Cynthia (Greg) Fulkerson, Linda (Wes) Skoglund, Greg (Deanna) Martin; grandchildren, Michael Fulkerson, Rachel Fulkerson, Anne Skoglund, Jenny Skoglund, Michael Van Grinsven, Jesse Martin, Crystal Miller, their families; and her sister, Eleanor Maanum.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1350 Florence St., Baldwin, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at St. Brendan Catholic Cemetery, Green Isle, MN. Funeral services are entrusted to O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin (715) 684-3434.
