Beryle Elaine Cleveland, 92, of Prescott, WI passed away peacefully June 9, 2017 at Kinnic Health and Rehab, River Falls, WI. She was born August 18, 1924 to Lyle and Ruth Harestad and grew up in Canton, South Dakota. Beryle graduated from Augustana Academy High School. She married Ilerd Cleveland and together they raised their three children in South Dakota, until moving to Prescott, WI in the late 1960s. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.

Beryle worked at Pierce County Bank Trust in Prescott and later at Wells Fargo and Norwest Bank in St. Paul, MN. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Congregational Church in Prescott. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings. She thoroughly enjoyed attending community parades and anything her granddaughters were involved in.

Beryle is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Ruth Harestad; husband, Ilerd Cleveland; sisters, Lucille Gayken and Janet Tower.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathleen (Douglas) Hjersjo of River Falls, WI and Annette (Charley) Izumi of Hilo, Hawaii, and her son, Arnold Cleveland of Prescott, WI; grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Sarah Hjersjo, Kimberly Izumi, Erik Izumi; great-grandchildren, Margaret Johnson, Adaline Johnson, and Kathryn Johnson; sister-in-law, Delores Cleveland; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Beryle will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls, WI. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will be in West Prairie Cemetery, Lennox, SD.
