Betty Charles Obit

Betty Ann Charles, age 86 of River Falls, Wisconsin, formerly of Oakdale, Minnesota was born to Eternal Life on March 15, 2022 at the River Falls Area Hospital. Betty was born to life on January 14, 1936 in Hastings, Minnesota; the daughter of Phillip and Lena (Krueger) Doffing. She was raised in Hastings where she graduated from high school. Following this, she furthered her education at the Rasmussen Business College in the Twin Cities. Shortly thereafter, her life took a new twist. She was united in marriage to Richard Manley Charles Sr. at St. Boniface Church in Hastings.  This union was gifted with six amazing children. Betty loved every minute of being a homemaker. She knew her calling was to be the best wife and mom she could be. Not only did she raise her children in a loving environment, she instilled in them their Christian foundation to which they were guided in life by. Betty grew up playing cards with family and friends. This fun continued throughout her life as she always looked forward to the laughs that came with an evening surrounded by family playing cards.

Betty will be celebrated and greatly missed by her children: Rick (Deb) Charles, Randy Charles, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Charles, John (Rene) Charles, Timothy (Kristi) Charles, Thomas (Shanyn) Charles; her loving grandchildren Christie (Brian) Juneski, Jennie (Chris) Berends, Steven (Melanie) Brier, Travis Charles, Linday (Dustin) Begyn, Liz (AJ) Cavazos, AJ Charles, Emma Charles, Al Charles, Bryanne Stitis, Madelyn Stitis, Talbot Stitis, Jakob Charles, Joshua Charles; her adored great grandchildren Izzy, Bianca, Taylor, Parker, Dani, Madlyn, Luke, Hailey, Kenndalle, Alison, Rolin, Wheeler, Paisley, and Easton.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 12:00pm, Monday, March 21, 2022 at the C3 Church at W7562 US Hwy 10 in Ellsworth, WI, followed by the funeral service at 12:00pm.  Interment will be 2:30pm, Monday, March 21st at Union Cemetery, 2505 East Minnehaha Ave East in St. Paul, MN following the service. Active casketbearers will be Jake Charles, Josh Charles, Al Charles, Travis Charles, AJ Charles, Steve Brier, Talbot Stitis. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
