Beverly Ann Thatcher age 86 of Spring Valley passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Hammond Health Services following complications of heart surgery. Beverly was born on January 17, 1940 in Menomonie, Wisconsin; the daughter of Lyle and Lyla (White) Mittlestadt. She was raised in Knapp where she attended State Grade School prior to attending Menomonie High School.

On June 22, 1957, she was married to Marvin Thatcher in Stillwater. From this union, sons Jeffrey and Dean were born. They lived in Knapp and Woodville for a good share of their marriage before moving to Spring Valley. She was a farmer's wife through and through. She did everything on the dairy farm. She would throw on her bib overalls and get her hands dirty. The only thing that didn't get Marvin's approval was driving tractor. Being a farmer's wife, she was an excellent cook and no one left hungry at the dinner table. Marvin and she would go coon hunting and she was right there helping Skin the coons for the pelts. Marvin enjoyed his horses and enjoyed working them. She would go with him Horse pulls all around Western Wisconsin; and seeing his friends; especially Earl Newton. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting along with any other craft work. She joined the Spring Valley Senior Center in 1996 where she served a secretary for a year. She had a strong faith. She enjoyed her faith community at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Wilson. She was active in the guild where she would help wherever needed especially funeral lunches.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Marvin; sons Jeffrey (Patti) Thatcher of Menomonie, Dean, Thatcher of Menomonie; granddaughter Naomi (Cody) Fox; great grandchild Leland Fox; brother Glenn, Mittlestadt and brother-in-law Jerry Danburg; along with her nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by her grandson Levi.; her sisters Barbara Danburg and Audrey (Harold) Henry; and sister-in-law Nancy Mittlestadt. 

Funeral service for Beverly will be 2:00PM, Monday August 17th at Assembly of God Church, 2988 60th Avenue in Wilson. Burial will be in the TeeGarden Cemetery in Knapp with casket bears being Steve McClelland, Jerry Thatcher, Randy Mittlestadt, Jay Larson, Robert, McNamara, and Joseph McNamara.
