William Lee Theis

William Lee Theis, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on January 7, 1955, in Saint Peter, MN, to parents Roger and Marilyn Theis. After graduating Bill was living in Florida, that is where he met the love of his life, Diane Allen. the two were married on July 28, 1983, and together they were blessed with two daughters. Bill lived a life dedicated to his craft and enriched by his family.

Known for his incredible skills as a self-employed carpenter, Bill took immense pride in his work, creating beautiful and lasting pieces that showcased his talent and passion. Beyond woodworking, he enjoyed leather working and had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the timeless songs of Bob Dylan and The Beatles.

Bill was a devoted father who taught his daughters many skills, ensuring they were equipped to navigate the world with confidence. He found great joy in his role as a grandfather, and his grandsons were the light of his life. He will always be remembered for his positivity, clever thinking, and selfless nature.

Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters Hillary and Michelle; grandsons Reid and Mason; siblings Bob Theis, Dan Theis, Kathy Mead, and Ron Theis.

He is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Marilyn, sister Geri, and best friend Hubcap.

A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held on Friday, November 6th at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be from 10-11am with a service starting at 11am. A reception will follow the service at Dick's Bar in Hudson. Memorials are preferred to the family.
