Blake Weghorn

Blake Weghorn, age 47, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, formerly of Spring Valley, died suddenly on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.  Funeral service for Blake will be on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church in Spring Valley.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home and also 1 hour prior to the service at church on Friday.

Blake Weghorn, age 47, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Wissota Regional Health and Vent Center.

Blake was born April 9, 1964 to Jack and Gloria (Arneson) Weghorn in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He attended Spring Valley Public Schools and graduated from Spring Valley High School with the class of 1982.

Blake was an avid Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Twins, Wisconsin Badgers, and Spring Valley Cardinals fan. He especially enjoyed watching football and baseball. During his four years in high school, he attended every football game – both home and away.

He was a very good card player. In addition to cards, he also liked many other table games and played them frequently with family and friends.

Blake is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Jesus has called him home, and he is no longer restrained by physical handicap.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents Harland and Stella Weghorn; maternal grandparents Clifford and Esther Arneson; and niece, Ashley Walburg.

Survivors include his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother: Lynn (Bill) Durfee, Lakewood, CO; Mary (Scott) Walburg, Cambridge, MN; Barry Weghorn, Red Wing. 2 nieces and 3 nephews: Kristen Antonson, Amy Lokensgard, Ryan Durfee, Arron Walburg, and Eric Walburg. Blake also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large number of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.

Funeral Services for Blake will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16 at Spring Valley Congregational Church.
