Blanche L. Estlund

Blanche Lillian Estlund, age 93, of Hudson, WI, passed away on March 19, 2014 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Blanche was born on October 2, 1920 to Richard and Sally (Hultgren) Erlandson in Hallock, MN. She was united in marriage to John Delmore Estlund, a marriage that would be blessed with one son, Greg.

Blanche spent many years at the Minot Fire Department as a Secretary and Dispatcher.

She enjoyed reading books and magazines, and keeping up to date on current events. She also loved playing bridge and cribbage, while socializing with her friends at Wintergreen in Hudson. She enjoyed taking trips out west with her family. Above all, she loved life and others.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Greg Estlund; grandson, David Estlund; nieces: Lois (Glenn) Rice, Mary Adams, Colleen (Colin) Fowler, Normal (Lowell) Hammer, and Margie (Donald) Juen; and nephew, Butch (Judy) Schaeffer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Estlund; brother, Garfield Erlandson; and sister, Dorothy Erlandson.

Funeral service for Blanche will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1PM at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Kennedy, MN.
