Bonadine Mae Kosin

April 20, 1930 — January 12, 2026

Prescott

Bonadine Mae Kosin, age 95, of Prescott, died peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, at her residence, with her husband of 73 years, Gerald, by her side. Bonnie was born on April 20, 1930, at home, the daughter of Oliver and Mabel (Nelson) Martinson. She was raised near Clifton, Wisconsin, and graduated from New Lisbon High School.

On August 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Gerald H. Kosin at Fountain Lutheran Church in Juneau County. This union was blessed with two sons, Jeffrey and Gregory.

As a young woman, she worked at Badger Ordinance in Baraboo, Wisconsin, where Bonnie met Jerry. She was employed at Eddie's Restaurant in Hastings and the Captain's Table in Prescott. She later took a position with Ashland Oil, where she worked as a benefits coordinator.

Her home was where she found her greatest peace. Hard work never bothered her, whether she was helping on the farmstead or mowing the grass. Bonnie and Jerry made their home in Oak Grove Township in 1966, where she took great pride in their farmstead. She also enjoyed tending to her floral gardens, especially delighting in the fragrance of the blooms. In quieter moments, she found comfort in creating afghans, quilting, and making cloth dolls.

Christmas was a particularly special time for Bonnie. She always looked forward to creating her "Christmas boxes," festively decorated boxes filled with an assortment of thoughtful goodies for others to enjoy.

Bonnie is survived by her loved husband Jerry Kosin, sons Jeffrey (Peggy) Kosin, Gregory (Mari) Kosin, Grandchildren Angela (Chris) Hendrickson, Kyle (Shelly) Kosin, Gregory "Bud" (Kelly) Kosin, Abby Kosin, Great-Grandchildren Morgan, Jordy, Rory, Leif, Olin, Ethan, Lily, Sister-In-Law Marlene Gentz, Special Niece Lisa (Bill) Preuss. She is preceded in death by, her Daughter-In-Law Jaci Kosin, siblings Donna (Melvin) Hanson, Bernard (Sharon) Martinson, Brother-In-Law Grant Gentz.
