Brad Hurtgen, of Woodville, passed away on January 1, 2026, unexpectedly at his residence. He was the beloved son of Joseph Hurtgen and Betty Hurtgen, and a cherished member of a large, close-knit family rooted in faith, farming, and community.
Brad grew up on the family dairy farm, where he learned the values of hard work, responsibility, and looking out for other lessons that shaped his life and the way he cared for his family and friends. He shared a deep bond with his parents and siblings and took great pride in the Hurtgen family legacy.
Brad married the love of his life, Brenda Hurtgen, and together they built a life centered on family, commitment, and quiet strength. Brad was known for his, kind heart, and willingness to help whenever he was needed. He valued time spent with loved ones, snowmobiling and side by side rides with family and friends and leaves behind many memories that will be treasured for years to come.
Brad is survived by his wife, Brenda; children Jesse(wife Elizabeth) Berg, Bobbie Berg; grandchildren, Hailee, Natalie, Brendan, Bradan; great grandchildren, Beckem and Braxtyn; his siblings Sue (Bill) Nawrocki, Debbie (Keith) Klanderman, Terry Hurtgen, Joan Hanson, Don (Carol) Hurtgen, and Cheryl (Dan) Symonik; his stepmother Ellen Hurtgen; his step-siblings Mike Alexander, Tom (Theresa) Alexander, Kevin (Leigh) Alexander, and Joleen Alexander; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Betty Hurtgen, and other loved family members who welcomed him home.
Brad will be remembered for his loyalty, quiet generosity, and the love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.
Celebration of life for Brad will be held in Woodville, WI on January 31, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 at the Woodville GarageBar.
