Callan James McKahan

Jul 7, 2026 — Aug 11, 2026

Ellsworth, WI

Callan James McKahan was born on July 7, 2026, and passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, surrounded by the greatest love he knew, the loving arms of his parents, Lauren and Chase.

Though Callan’s time on earth was far too brief, the five weeks he spent with his family were filled with immeasurable love, inexplicable joy, precious moments, and a lifetime of

meaning. He was his mom and dad’s “littlest love” and their mighty heart warrior, and he was deeply and completely loved by his big brother, Riggs. From the moment he entered their lives, Callan captured the hearts of everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

In his short time here, Callan taught his family and all who loved him some of life’s most profound lessons: to treasure every moment, to love without limits, to find strength in the

midst of sorrow, and to recognize that a life does not have to be long to be incredibly meaningful. His tiny presence made an immeasurable impact on the world; the love he inspired will never fade, and the lessons he taught us will remain in our hearts forever.

He will forever be his family’s littlest love, their mighty heart warrior, and a beautiful reminder that even the smallest lives can leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.

Callan leaves behind his loving parents, Lauren and Chase; his adoring big brother, Riggs; his grandparents, Kristi and Brian Parmeter, Mark and Mary Kiefer, and Jim McKahan; great grandparents, Dick and Vi Wilhelm, Joyce McKahan; aunts and uncles, Amy and Scott Radke, Keslyn and Lyric Renk-Mason, Braxton McKahan; cousin, Alaina Radke; extended family; and countless friends and loved ones whose hearts were forever changed by his precious life.

His family is forever grateful for the precious, beautiful, and deeply meaningful five weeks they were given with their courageous little boy. His life was a gift, his memory a Blessing.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Callan on Sunday, August 23rd from 3-6 PM at the Ridgetop in Prescott, WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Callan’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House, or Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis (designation: Cardiovascular Care).

Both organizations were instrumental in caring for and supporting the family during this difficult time, and the family is deeply grateful for the compassion and comfort they provided.
