Caroline Hanson

Caroline Joan Hanson, age 71, of Hudson WI, formerly of Brainerd MN, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2012 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Caroline was born on September 21, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN to Thomas and LaVerne (Droneck) Cary. She graduated from Marshall High School, and following her graduation, obtained her CNA certification, and took classes at Brainerd Votech. Upon completion of her certification, she worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan in Brainerd, as well as Stillwater.

Caroline loved sports. She was a avid hockey fan, and supported the Minnesota Gophers and Wisconsin Badgers, whomever she disliked the least! Above all, she was a Green Bay Packer fan no matter what. She loved to sew and craft, and when she worked at TG&Y, she made the clothing displays for the fabric department. She also enjoyed danceline. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her, and she loved and supported everything they did.

She is survived by her children, Nadine Cary of Blaine, MN, and Steven Hanson of Hudson, WI; grandchildren, Corey Hanson of Hudson, WI, Jesse (Sarah) Scanlan of Andover, MN, Melissa (Ryan) Connolly of Little Canada, MN, Jacob (Caitlin) Scanlan of Blaine, MN, Chase Scanlan of Blaine, MN, and Sarah (Adam) Noblick of Blaine, MN; great-grandchildren, JR, Alexis, and Killian Scanlan of Andover, MN, Aidan, Elijah, and Sefan Connolly of Little Canada, MN, Damek Noblick of Blaine, MN, and Mallory Scanlon of Blaine, MN; siblings, Evelyn Daniels of Georgia, John (Sandra) Cary of Arizona, Lynn (Sharon) Cary of Nevada, Kenneth (Kathy) Larson of Brooklyn Park, MN, Kevin Larson of Georgia, Chuck Larson of Nisswa, MN, and Kathy Wheeler of Texas; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Wesley and Christine Hanson; and sister, Barbara Rosales.

Services for Caroline will be held at a later date in July of 2013.
