Cassandra Ann Thompson

Cassandra Ann Thompson, age 42, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away at Prescott Nursing and Rehab on April 25, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1983, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Melanie and Michael Thompson.

Cassandra lived life in her own unique way, guided by a creative spirit and an independent heart. She found joy in artistic expression, often spending time drawing and playing the guitar. Music and art were not just hobbies to her they were ways she connected with the world around her. She carried a lifelong dream of working for Disney as an artist, a reflection of her imagination and love for creativity.

Known for her strong will and spirited personality, Cassandra approached life with intensity and authenticity. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. Whether surrounded by nature or lost in a creative moment, she found comfort in the simple and meaningful parts of life.

She is survived by her children, Lyla, Jaidyn, and Raeleigh; her father, Michael Thompson; her sister, Melissa Thompson; grandfather Ken Lashley, aunt Peggy Lashley, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will remember her in their own personal ways

Cassandra was preceded in death by her mother, Melanie; her brother, Kenneth; parents, Carol Ingersoll and Peggy Lashley; and Neil Ingersoll.

A graveside service for Cassandra will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls, Wisconsin.
