Cheryl Avenelle Bluske

Cheryl Bluske, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at Woodland Hill Senior Living Community in Hudson, WI.

Cheryl was born on September 17, 1941, in Blair, Wisconsin, where she lived until she graduated from Blair High School. She married the love of her life, Monte, on November 20, 1959. Together they raised their four children in Eau Claire.

While in Eau Claire, Cheryl was long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Cheryl was blessed to have a great network of friends who she enjoyed socializing through playing bridge, racquetball, and golf. Cheryl was an enthusiastic fan of high school and college sports. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in athletic events. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family on Lake Wissota.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Monte; her parents Herschel & Merle (Stenberg) Dahl; and her brother, DeVere Dahl.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Teri (Kirk) Etten, Tami (Kevin) Fahey, Traci (Todd) Persche-Anderson, and Troy (Jodi) Bluske; grandchildren Zach, Ben, & Cole Etten, Jack & Brandon Fahey, Taylor & Sam Persche, and Brooks, Jake & Drew Bluske; and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Woodland Hill memory care.
