Cynthia Spielman

Cynthia “Cindy” Jean Spielman age 67, of Hudson, WI passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on November 15, 2019. Cindy was born on October 12, 1952 in St. Paul, MN to parents James and Elizabeth Parson. She went to school at Hudson High and later attended Anoka Ramsey Community College. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Marshfield Clinic. Cindy married the love of her life Douglas Spielman on March 8th, 1975 and together they were blessed with two children.

Cindy’s greatest joys in life included spending time with family and being in the great outdoors. The whole family loved taking road trips in their van, which would often double as their hotel. Favorite vacations included camping to and from Alaska and volunteering at a homestead in Hells Canyon Idaho alongside her husband Doug and children. She loved to celebrate the holidays and play games with family and friends. She adored her grandchildren more than anything. Her dog Sharcoal was her best friend and would always be by her side. She had a witty sense of humor and a quirky personality to match.

She will remain in the hearts of her children Sara (Ron) Henke and Tylar (Carrie) Spielman; grandchildren Reid, Rylan and Oliver; Siblings Steve Parson, Jeff Parson, and Jeannie (Mark) Meinert; Mother-in-law Myrtle Spielman; sisters-in-law Lynn (Dave) Dummer and Jan (Marty) Engel, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Elizabeth; Husband Doug; infant sister Jill; Father-in-law Orland Spielman; Sister-in-law Diane Parson, and step-mother Alice Parson.

A memorial service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be two hours prior from 3-5 before the service on Wednesday. After the service at O’Connell’s there will be a gathering at The Hudson House for more visiting and sharing stories starting at 6:00 PM. Memorials preferred to the discretion of the family.
