Dale Brorson, age 89 of Baldwin.  Funeral service is Wednesday, June 20 at 5 PM at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.   Visitation for Dale is from 2 until 4:30 Wednesday at church prior to the service.  Burial is in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin.
Dale Carlton Brorson, age 89, of Baldwin, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Park View Home, Woodville, Wisconsin surrounded by his 4 children.
Dale was born December 17th, 1922 in the township of Gilman, Pierce County, Wisconsin to Carl and Elvina (Anderson) Brorson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.  Dale was raised in Gilman Township and attended Spring Valley Schools, graduating with the Class of 1941.
Dale was united in marriage to Gladys Bosman on June 30th, 1951 at the Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.  To this union were born 4 children: Carolyn, Becky, Steven, and Joni.
Dale was a kind, compassionate man with an incredible sense of humor.  He loved being around people and telling jokes.  In his later years, his favorite pastimes were meeting people for breakfast and playing cards with his friends.  He especially enjoyed the card groups from Ellsworth and Woodville.  Dale touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed.
Dale worked a variety of jobs.  He worked at the creamery in Elmwood, and worked a while in Coggon, Iowa where he managed a creamery.  In the mid 1960's, Dale took a job with Boldt Plumbing and Heating and moved his family to Baldwin.  He later worked for Gregerson Hardware, and he retired in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gladys who passed away in 2000; his father and mother Carl and Elvina Brorson; father and mother in-law Gerhard and Ellen Bosman; sister & brother-in-law Evelyn and Corvin Halvorson; brother-in-law Walter Bosman and wife Jean; sister-in-law Irene (Bosman) Larson and husband Stanley.
He is survived by his 4 children: Carolyn Carlson of Baldwin; Becky (Daniel) Olson of El Paso; Steven (Cindy) Brorson of Spring Valley; and Joni (Kip) Hinrichs of Baldwin; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, with another about to be born; 2 sisters: JoAnn (Roy) Johnson of Spring Valley; Audrey Grant of Spring Valley; brother Arnold (Dorothy) Brorson of Spring Valley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harvey and Donna Bosman of Baldwin; many, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Funeral service was on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley with Rev. D. Peter Friberg officiating, and Carol Lynum as organist.  Visitation was on Wednesday from 2 until 4:30 pm at the church prior to the service. Honorary bearers were Alyssa Roff, Erin Olson, Jayna Hinrichs, and Kendra, Rachel, Ellen, and Christa Brorson.  Pallbearers were Steven Brorson, Chad Carlson, Andrew Carlson, Isaac Olson, Daniel Olson, Kyle Hinrichs, and Kip Hinrichs.  Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin.
