Darryl Siebold

Darryl Karl Siebold, age 69, passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2020 in River Falls, Wisconsin, surrounded by family. Darryl was born in Rush City, Minnesota on May 10th, 1950 to Sheldon and Dolores (Frisk) Siebold. After graduating high school, Darryl received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin River Falls, and a master’s degree from Hazelden Graduate School of Addiction Studies. Darryl was a successful business owner for ten years, and then went on to work at Andersen Windows, retiring after twenty years of employment. Darryl also served in the US Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge.
Darryl was an accomplished songwriter and musician, having recorded several albums throughout his life. Singing and playing his guitar were crucial to his creative existence. He was a lifelong learner, always in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. Darryl was a devoted family man as well, having spent time with his family and his grandsons whenever possible.
Darryl will remain in the hearts of his daughters, Becky (Jeremy) Okonek and Katie Siebold; grandchildren, Jack and Sam Okonek; mother, Dolores Siebold; siblings; Wayne (Kay) Siebold, Bruce (Terry) Siebold, Gary ( Vicki) Siebold, Gwynne (Duane) Wisse, Brad (Janet) Siebold; and many nieces and nephews. Darryl is preceded in death by his father, Sheldon Siebold.
A time to gather with friends and family in honor of Darryl will take place on Friday, January 10th, 2020 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. Darryl’s memorial service will take place at 3:00pm, with a time to visit with family and friends beginning two hours prior to his service.
Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family.
