Darwin Benjamin Fogerty

Darwin B. Fogerty, 96, of Rice Lake, formerly of Roberts, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Our House Assisted Living, Rice Lake, WI.

Darwin was born on the farm at Roberts, at home in the kitchen, on February 3, 1919 to Benjamin and Theresa (Faltiesek) Fogerty.

He married Ve Nila Peterson on February 5, 1944. Having worked as a teacher of English, librarian and year book advisor for 34 years, he retired from Prescott high school in 1980.

Darwin is survived by his four sons: David (Ronnie) Fogerty, Duane (Patricia) Fogerty, Dale (Betty) Fogerty, and Dennis (Linda) Fogerty. He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ve Nila, parents, and brother James Fogerty

It was Darwin’s request that he be buried next to his wife Ve Nila at St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery, River Falls, and there be no services.
