David Marvin Conner

David Marvin Conner, born on July 14, 1959, in Los Angeles County, California, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Baldwin, Wisconsin, at the age of 66.

A true jack of all trades, David was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and often did, for anyone who needed help. His greatest passions were working on cars and riding his Harley, but his heart was always with his family. He lived life on his own terms, with grit, kindness, and a quiet generosity that left an impact on everyone he met.

David spent 25 years with his beloved partner, Carol Briese, until her passing in 2019. Together they built a strong and loving blended family. He is survived by his children, Brandy Slama (Jeremy) and Mark Souter (Faith), and by the children he helped raise as his own: Mike (Billie) Briese, Brandi (Greg) Gotzman, Beth Briese, and Tim (Sarah) Briese.

He was a proud grandfather to Zach, Cassie, “Little” David, Jayden, Jonny, Gavin, Lavinia, and Lydia. David is also survived by his sisters, Earlene Kerns and Tammie (Clay) Van Buskirk, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends from all walks of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellene Taft and Earl Conner; his sister, Wanda Jean Conner; his partner, Carol Briese; and many other cherished family and friends.

In his free time, David could often be found riding his Harley, tinkering with cars, or hunting for treasures at garage sales, a favorite pastime he enjoyed with quiet enthusiasm and above all, time with his grandchildren. He found joy in the little things and had an incredible way of making those around him feel welcome and cared for.

In keeping with David’s wishes, no formal funeral will be held. Instead, a casual gathering to celebrate his life will be planned at a later date. David was a man who made a difference- with his hands, his heart, and his humor. He will be missed more than words can express.
