David Dressen, age 87 of Hudson passed away February 19, 2026 while sitting in his favorite chair in his "Man Cave" with his loving wife at his side. David Ernest Dressen was born May 1, 1938 in Flint, Michigan.
He graduated from Washington Clay High School in South Bend, Indiana in 1957, and Purdue University with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
Dave had 44 years in the trade as a Master Electrician which he enjoyed immensely and spent time using his skills volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Being an avid bicyclist, motorcycle racer, white water kayaker, cross country skier, downhill skier, ballroom dancer, and windsurfer, he loved traveling the country with his family and friends to engage in outdoor activities and experience new places while meeting new friends. His favorite past time was to be active with his wife, his sons and extended family engaged in some sport. His love for his family was present in his daily life and he expressed that in many ways. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit.
Known to be quite the jokester by his many friends and family members, Dave always added unexpected dry humor to the moment. Some of his never forgotten quotes include: "Glad you got to see me" and "It's been a slice of Heaven".
Dave is survived by his wife of 23 years, Priscilla "Cilla"; two sons, Steve (Missy) Dressen, Rich (Sharon) Dressen, two bonus children, Andrea (Jason) Wallace, and Steve (Carolina) Duleh; a brother, Don (Norma) and four grandchildren: Ella, Quinn, Tate & Lexi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Richard Dressen.
Visitation 10-11 AM with Celebration of Life 11:00 AM on Tuesday Feb. 24 at Bethel Lutheran Church—Highlands Campus, 504 Frontage Rd, Hudson. Memorials to Habitat for Humanity.
David Dressen leaves us with one final quote: "I had a good time and have done everything I wanted to do."
