David Lowell Lynch passed away on September 8, 2023 at Regions hospital with family by his side. He was born on July 6, 1963 to parents Lowell and Sharon Lynch. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1981. David enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he proudly served for 8 years. He was a competitive boxer for many years and a former Upper Midwest Golden Glove Champion. Dave retired from his Postmaster position in 2019 from Cedar Rapids Post Office.
Dave met the love of his life and travel partner, Jeri Jensen of Hudson, in 2001. The two were married in 2006 and enjoyed 22 years of adventures together. With Dave’s Postal career they lived in Alaska, Wyoming, Washington, MN and Iowa. After retirement they settled in St. Croix Falls, WI. In St. Croix Falls, Dave became a Firefighter as well as a school bus driver, he was very dedicated and loved his retirement jobs. Dave will always be remembered for his crazy sense of humor and his passion for the great outdoors. His favorite activates were rock, ice and alpine climbing, trail biking, cross country/down hill skiing, kayaking, shooting pool, playing cards, bags, and learning Spanish.
He will remain in the hearts of his wife Jeri; children Dustin Lynch, Broxton Lynch, and Justice Lynch, all of Albert Lea, MN; mother Sharon Lynch of Albert Lee, MN; sisters Loriene Pearson (Tim), Jeanette Lynch (Tom Wakefield), Karen Lynch (Dodd Hayson); brother-in-laws Joe Jensen, Jim (Michelle) Jensen; sisters-in-laws Julie (Brett) Phillips, Jeanne (Fred) Reaux; mother-in-law Dorothy Jensen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Lowell Lynch and father-in-law Ronald Jensen.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, WI from 3:00-6:00 with a graveside service at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery at 6:30. Memorials are preferred to the family.
