David Michael Parks

David Michael Parks, age 77, passed away on September 10, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on August 16, 1949, to Leonard and Catherine Parks.

David had a deep love for nature, classic cars, Motown music, and playing cards, with fishing being his ultimate passion. Though his journey through life was often complicated and his relationships carried their share of challenges, David deeply loved his children and family, holding onto that love despite the distance between them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Catherine Parks; his son, John Brost; his grandson, Joshua Brost; and his sisters, Patricia Parks, Judy Ruzicka, and Mary Larson.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Brost; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Kathy Bowe (Jim), Steve Parks, Philip Parks, Anne Vogler (Jerry), Brian Parks (Connie), and Colleen January.

The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Anthony Park Home for their wonderful care of David. 

A public visitation will be held at 10:00 AM with service beginning at 11:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hammond, Wisconsin on Monday September 14.

A private burial for the family will be held in the future at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (VA Cemetery) in Spooner, Wisconsin.
