February 19, 1950 — April 11, 2026

Ellsworth

Deborah Roesler, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the River Falls Area Hospital following a recent decline in her health. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker whose life was rooted in family, faith, and the simple joys of home.

Born February 10, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, attending Blessed Sacrament St. Pius Parochial School prior to graduating from Aquinas High School. She went on to further her education at UW–River Falls, where she pursued studies in horticulture. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.

On January 4, 1969, she was united in marriage to Michael Kenneth Roesler, at St. Pius X in La Crosse. Together, they built a life centered on love, hard work, and deep family connections. Deborah had a passion for gardening, especially growing vegetables, and took great pride in canning and preserving the fruits of her labor. She also found joy in baking and cooking, always known for her homemade cookies and breads that brought comfort and smiles to those around her. Her faith also guided her life as she was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and their choir, although her recent health made it difficult to attend.

She is lovingly survived by her seven children: Becky Koderick (Perry Larson) of Ellsworth; Tony (Kari) Roesler of Ellsworth, Tammy (Alan) Doty of Hartland, Josh Roesler of Baldwin; Rachel (Chad) McChane of Ellsworth; Joe (Karen) Roesler of Hager City; Angie Hudson of Baldwin; and daughter-in-law Dee Roesler of Elmwood. She was a proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply as well as many great grandchildren.

She is further survived by her siblings: Sheri (Tom) Welch of Arkansas; Kit (Dave) Tesmer of Zumbrota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Peg (Ken) Gerzseni of Rochester; Lynn (Glen) Seiger of Port Edwards; and her brother Dave (Debbie) Grutzik of Green Bay, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Michael; son Daniel; and son-in-law Steve Hudson.

Deborah will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her steady presence, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the traditions she created, and the memories that will be treasured for generations.
