Delores Byboth

DeLores Darlene Byboth, age 84 of Hudson, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home in Hudson, WI. Delores was born on February 28, 1936 in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, to parents Otto and Mary (Orman) Fueller. DeLores graduated from Turtle Lake High School and continued her education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and then went on to get her Master’s at the University of North Dakota.

DeLores worked as an elementary school teacher at various schools in the western side of Minnesota. She spent a year teaching in Turkey, and enjoyed many adventures during her time. She enjoyed traveling, and was fortunate to visit countries such as Germany, Israel, and Egypt.

She married the love of her life Dale Byboth on June 28, 1970 and together they were blessed with 3 children. After DeLores retired from teaching, she took up a position at Kinder Care in Stillwater, where she continued to work with children for over 17 years. What DeLores loved to do more then anything was to sit and talk for hours with family and friends; they meant the world to her. She also loved to be out in her garden growing flowers, cooking, reading a good book, and studying with her cherished church friends.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Dale; children Nancy (Swen) Erickson, John (Katherine) Byboth, and James Byboth; grandchildren Inga, Sofia, Eirik, and Helena Erickson; siblings Herbert (Ardelle) Fueller, Marian (Mark) Kinder, and Jenneil (Tom) Krier; brother-in-law Lyle (Lori Carroll) Byboth, sister-in-laws Diane (Earl) Webber, Jean (Dave) Kesler, and Karen Olson; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by parents Otto and Mary Fueller; sister DelVera Skinnemoen; and brother-in-law James Olson.

A Celebration of Life for DeLores will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Afton, Minnesota at a future date.
