Delores Mae "Toots" Thompson

Delores Mae “Toots” Thompson age 92 of Woodville passed away May 9, 2026, at the Park View Care Center.

She was born on September 14, 1933, in Springfield Township, the daughter of Theodore and Carrie Nelson. She attended Maple Grove Grade School and graduated from Woodville High School in 1951. Delores went on to attend Eau Claire Business School, and WITC in New Richmond to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

In 1953 she and Donald Thompson were married and raised three children.

For a time, she worked in the Twin Cities for a Group Health Insurer. For 27 years she worked as a CNA at Baldwin Hospital.

Delores enjoyed biking, playing cards, knitting, bowling, and dancing.

Preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Roxanne; two sisters Irma Mohn and Shirley Johnson; stillborn sister; and an infant brother Theodore.

She is survived by three children Randy (Dori) Thompson of Glenwood City, Cindy (John Jackelen) Thompson of Glenwood City, & Nancy Thompson of Glenwood City; seven grandchildren Katie (Justin) Swenby, Scott Thompson, Betsy (Max Bradt) Henck, Michelle Obermueller, Carrie (Mike) Graves, Judson (Morgan) Manor, and Taylor (Roz) Manor; great-grandchildren Kass (Dakota) Kerr, Ava & Bryn Swenby, Aiden & Jake Thompson, Rylan & Emma Henck, Theo Bradt, Bennett & Eli Obermueller, Easten Graves, Levi, Ruby, & Beckett Manor; great-great-grandson Bennett Kerr; and sister Sandy (Bill) Arndt.

Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, May 13th at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville. Visitation 9:30 AM to 11 AM Wednesday at the church. Interment Lone Pine Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to O’Connell Funeral Home, Baldwin.
