Delphine Florence Cooper, age 80 of Hudson, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2017. Delphine was born on May 5, 1937 to Anthony and Regina (Hentz) Lenzen in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Robert Cooper Jr., and they were blessed with two sons, Robert III and Chet. Delphine worked in the world of education, teaching and expanding young minds for many years at various schools.

Delphine shared a passion for the arts with her husband, Robert. She had a particular fondness for Southwestern and Native American art. Delphine also created her own jewelry and sold many of her accessories at local art shops and galleries. She was intrigued by Civil War history and read numerous books in order to educate herself. Delphine adored her family above all else. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to those she loved so dearly.

Delphine is survived by her sons, Robert Cooper III of Atlanta, Georgia and Chet (Heidi) Cooper of Oakdale, Minnesota; grandchildren: Adam, Lia, Heather, Lauren, Sophia; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Lenzen of River Falls, Patti (Richard) Dierks of Frederic and Judy Jensen of Spooner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cooper Jr.; parents, Anthony and Regina Lenzen; siblings, Maurice, Mary, Raymond and Tony; and brother-in-law, Richard Cooper.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 10 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
