Delwin R. ”Del”” Magsam, age 56 of Baldwin and formerly of Roberts, died peacefully at home on June 1, 2014, surrounded by family. His faith in God gave him a special comfort until the very end of his journey with cancer. Del maintained a positive attitude throughout his declining health, inspiring all.

Del was born to Elmer and Jane (Young) Magsam on January 24, 1958. He married Rebecca Mote on June 4, 1977. Del and Becky spent most of their years on their farm near Roberts, WI. An entrepreneur at heart, Del enthusiastically learned and pursued many interests. Some of his endeavors included airplane building, massage therapy, EMT work, and farming. He enjoyed being part of a large, close-knit family and cherished memories of boyhood days spent on his grandpa’s farm. Del loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include wife, Becky; children, Ryan (Dalene) of Bentonville, AR, and Cheri (Farron) Starling of Independence, IA; grandchildren, Kiana, Micah, and Jacobi Magsam, Elliot and Liam Starling; father, Elmer Magsam; siblings, Vicki (Daryl) Boyd, David (Dawn), Kerry (Darla), Dorena (Eric) Killam; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by mother, Jane Magsam, and nephew Sheldon.

Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 5th at the Veterans Center, E4710 Cty Rd BB, Menomonie, WI 54751. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 4th from 4:00-7:00pm at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin, WI. 715-684-3434
