Dena M. Urbano, age 44 of Brookfield, WI, formerly of Stillwater, MN, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2019 in New Richmond.

Dena was born August 7, 1975 in St. Paul, MN, to Antonio and Sherri (Stucci) Urbano. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1993, and continued her studies at Century College where she participated in many drama department productions and earned her Liberal Arts degree with an English Major. In 2000, Dena was blessed with her beloved son, Antonio. She recently relocated to Brookfield, WI and worked in Appeals Management at Skygen USA.

Dena held an immense love for her family and friends, and she cherished the time she spent with them, especially her little nephews. She was delighted by food, being a self proclaimed foodie with skills in cooking and baking. Dena relished being the center of attention, and had a life-long love of having her picture taken. She adored the arts, and had a fondness for poetry, drama productions, British literature, and live music.

Dena will remain in the heart of her son, Antonio M. Urbano; longtime boyfriend, Bill Wright; her parents, Antonio R. and Sherri Urbano; siblings, Jennie “JenJen” (Jeremy) Gulbrandson, and Angie Urbano; nephews, Luca, Maximus, and Benjamin; her beloved fur baby, Lily Boo; her canary, Prince; and many other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her good friends, Judi Schneider and Heather Whaley.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6th, with a time for sharing memories at 6:00 p.m., at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
