Denise Closson

Denise Andrea Closson, age 44 of Glenwood City, passed away August 16, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. Denise was born June 27, 1971 in New London, WI, the daughter of Chester and Geraldine (Bladecki) Closson. Denise graduated from Shiocton High School, the Class of 1989. She worked as an equipment operator with the Georgia-Pacific Corporation.

Denise enjoyed listening to music and was delighted with the challenge of word puzzles. She had an interest in knitting and crocheting, that she was so hoping to explore. She had a kind heart for animals, and especially loved her pets. Denise had a glowing personality with a smile that could light up any room. She was a fighter, with a strong will – never giving up. Her gracious friendship, fun spirit, and great sense of humor brought so much joy to those around her.

Denise will remain in the hearts of her loving mother, Geraldine “Geri” Closson of Glenwood City; her father, Chester (Sue) Closson of Marinette, WI; brother, Dean; uncle, Dave (Janet) Bladecki of Glenwood City; aunt, Pauline (Joe) Plautz of Milwaukee, Roger (Anida) Closson of Gering, NE, Robert (Carolyn) Closson Scottsbluff, NE, and Allen (Sally ) Closson of Ontario, OR; and many dear cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray & Rita Bladecki and Harold & Mildred Closson; as well as her uncle, Jerome Bladecki.

A Memorial Service will take place 11:00am Tuesday, September 1st at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St. in Baldwin, with Fr. Jerry Harris officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
