Diana Dabruzzi

Diana Rita (Mannella) Dabruzzi, age 79, of Hudson, Wisconsin, died Sunday, October, 16, 2011, at Red Cedar Canyon Assisted Living, Hudson.

Diana was born on May 2, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Gaetano & Theresa (Schullo) Mannella. She attended St. Catherine of Sienna High School until she moved to Hudson in 1949. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1950 and married the love of her life, Albert Edward Dabruzzi, that same year. She was active as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a member of the Hope Choir and the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW). Diana was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She had a creative talent and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Her culinary skills were legendary, and she made sure that the family’s culinary traditions were passed down to her children and grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hudson, on Friday, October 21, 2011, at 11:00 am. Father James Kinney will officiate, and Father Gene Murphy will concelebrate with Deacon James Meyer. Visitation will take place from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 20, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, as well as one hour at the church prior to the funeral Mass. A vigil service will take place at the funeral home at 7pm on Thursday. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hudson.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Albert, her son James & wife Linda (Theresa, James Jr and Angela) of Florida, her daughter Theresa & husband Jeff Heimann of Lakeland, MN, and grandsons Tony Dabruzzi & wife Stacey of Hudson and Michael Dabruzzi & wife Megan (Dominic and Thomas) of Hudson. She was the heart of this family and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Theresa, her sister Elizabeth, her twin brothers Frank and Orlando (Phyllis) and her son Thomas.

Memorials donations are preferred.
