Donald ‘Don’ Belisle

Donald Joseph ”Don”” Belisle, age 76 of Hudson, died October 23, 2015 at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. Donald was born on September 7, 1939 in New Richmond, Wisconsin; the son of Victorian and Marion (Halverson) Belisle. He was raised on the family farm in Somerset where he attended school. On September 30, 1960, he was united in marriage to his best friend Carol Ann Sundt in Great Lakes, Illinois. Their union was blessed with three children, Scott, Keith, and Jill.

Don was the owner and operator of Don’s Mobil Gas Station in North Hudson. He went on to haul gasoline for the SSG corporation in Hudson. Don loved hunting pheasants and deer, going ice fishing, and shooting trap at the North Hudson Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing, and especially spending time with his family, whether boating or going on trips.

Don will remain in the hearts of his children, Keith (Janice) Belisle of Roberts, Jill (Steve) Golubic of Hudson; daughter-in-law, Tracie Belisle of Somerset; grandchildren Kevin and Shannon Belisle, Jason and Tyler Belisle, Joe, Nic, and Amanda Golubic, great-granddaughter Amelia; sister, Bev Palmsteen of Osceola, WI; brother, Arlen (Mary) Belisle of Bayport, MN; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol; son Scott (10/25/2015); his parents; brother-in-law, Lyle Palmsteen; and Daniel Belisle.

Celebration of his life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 29 at Bethel Lutheran Church – Highlands Campus, 504 Frontage Road, Hudson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the church. Interment at the Willow River Cemetery.
